FAQ
Are the tours rain or shine?
Unless the weather is dangerous (lightning, high winds, etc.), the tours will go on! Be prepared with an umbrella if it rains. In the event of a cancellation, we will notify you via email and/or txt, and a refund will be processed.
Are the tours accessible to those in wheelchairs or other mobility devices?
Not all tours strictly stick to areas accessible by wheelchairs. The walking tours encounter uneven ground, uneven sidewalks, and other obstacles that could prove to be a challenge. For tours utilizing the Discover Niagara Shuttle, all shuttles are equipped with lifts for accessibility.
Can I bring a stroller?
Yes, but just note that some of our tours can go on uneven terrain.
Are there restrooms along the way?
Most tours do have a restroom opportunity either before or during the tour.
Are you a non-profit organization?
Yes! We are proud to be one of just 62 National Heritage Areas in the United States. Designated by Congress in 2008, the Niagara Falls National Heritage Area exists to preserve, protect, and promote the historic, natural, and cultural resources that stretch from Niagara Falls to Old Fort Niagara.
Our mission is to deepen public appreciation for the people, places, and stories that define this region. Through strong partnerships and bold leadership, we work to fill gaps, spark initiatives, and create lasting impact—whether through historic preservation, expanded public access, or environmental restoration.
We believe in authenticity, diversity, collaboration, and design that honors both past and future.
All proceeds from our tours go directly to serving this mission.
