The Niagara Falls National Heritage Area is proud and excited to host the 2026 Spring Meeting for the Alliance of National Heritage Areas! Our NHA spans Niagara Falls, Lewiston, and Youngstown, NY, a small 13 mile stretch with plenty to experience.

Getting Here

By Air

The Buffalo-Niagara International Airport is a roughly 30 minute drive to the Niagara Crossing Hotel & Spa in Lewiston, NY.

By Train

The Niagara Falls Amtrak Station is a roughly 10 minute drive to the Niagara Crossing Hotel & Spa in Lewiston, NY.

The Niagara Crossing Hotel & Spa is located in historic Lewiston, NY, and sits right on the lower Niagara River with stunning sunset views. The hotel is steps away from a quaint but vibrant village with plenty of eateries, shops, pubs, and more!

To book, call the hotel directly at 716-754-9070 and mention you'd like to book in the ANHA block. Booking through a third party site or outside the room block will not get the discounted rate.

Our room block details are as follows:

• 19 Standard Kings- $99 pretax and hotel fees per night
• 12 Riverview King- $99 pretax and hotel fees per night
• 10 Standard 2 Queens - $99 pretax and hotel fees per night
• 5 Riverview King Suites- $149 pretax and hotel fees per night
• 3 Sunset Suites- $149 pretax and hotel fees
• 1 Apartment Suite- $249 pretax and hotel fees

You have until April 3rd, 2026, to book in the block, after that, if any rooms are left, they will be open to the public and no longer offered at a discounted rate or added back to the block.

5:30 p.m. Discover Niagara Shuttle Departs for Niagara Gorge Hike

• 5:15 p.m. meet in Niagara Crossing lobby.
• Wear comfortable clothes and sturdy walking shoes.
• There are approximately 439 steps to the bottom of the Niagara Gorge.
• Hike Time: 2 – 2 ½ hours.
• Bring a water bottle.

Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor, Flying Monkey and Opening Reception

9:15 a.m. Discover Niagara Shuttle Departs for Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor Flight of Five Tour

• 9:00 a.m. meet in Niagara Crossing lobby for orientation and to sign waiver.
• Erie Canal Flight of Five & Discovery Center Tour
• 11:30 a.m. lunch at Niagara History Center.
• 12:30 p.m. return to Niagara Crossing.

2:15 p.m. ANHA Flying Monkey Adventure: Whirlpool Jet Boat

• 2:15 p.m. meet in Niagara Crossing lobby.
• Waiver must be signed in advance.

6-8:00 p.m. Opening Reception at Brickyard Brewing Company

NFNHA Tour Day

• 8:00 a.m. Meet in Niagara Crossing Conference Room for Breakfast Pizza and Intro to NFNHA
• 8:30 a.m. Discover Niagara Shuttle departs for Niagara Falls State Park
• 10:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m. Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center   During this time, participants will experience four micro tours of NFNHA projects with lunch served between tours.  Tours include:
• Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center
• Prophet Isaiah’s House
• Main Street Public Art Initiative
• Suspension Bridge and Bad@ss Women of Niagara Tour
• 3:15 p.m. Discover Niagara Shuttle returns to Niagara Crossing
• 5:30 p.m. Discover Niagara Shuttle departs for Griffon Brewing in Youngstown. Discover Niagara Shuttle will circle back on a loop between to assist guests in getting to and from Griffon Brewery. It is an approximately 15-minute drive.
• 7:45 p.m. Discover Niagara Shuttle begins to return guests to Niagara Crossing.

Love Canal, Maid of the Mist & Farewell

• 8:00 a.m. Breakfast and Overview of Love Canal in Niagara Crossing Conference Room
• 8:30 a.m. Discover Niagara Shuttle departs for Love Canal via the Niagara Falls Industrial Corridor along Buffalo Avenue.
• 9:15 a.m. Meet Luella Kenny, one of the three “housewives” who led grassroots advocacy into action to create the first Superfund site in the United States.
• 10:15 a.m. Depart Love Canal for Maid of the Mist, Cataract House Hotel site and Friends of the Turtle.
• 10:30 a.m. Arrive at Cataract House Hotel to experience guided tour of footsteps of freedom seekers leaving Cataract House Hotel to cross the Niagara River to freedom at site of Maid of the Mist.
• 11:00 a.m.  Maid of the Mist Departure
• 12:30 p.m. Lunch at the Cambria Hotel, Partner of the NFNHA and location of NFNHA curated exhibit.
• 1:45 p.m. Depart for Niagara Crossing, airport or home via car.
