About Joseph Davis State Park
Well-known to birders around Western New York, this two-level park is an active bird conservation area. The park also features an active disc golf course, hiking and nature trails, ponds, and a fishing dock on the lower level. Be sure to check out the Spirit of Victory sculpture by Tom Mullany on Rumsey Ridge overlooking the Niagara River. Sculpted from rusty junk in 1989, the 14-foot work depicts a winged Iroquois woman and was originally known as "Iroquois Angel.”
The Niagara Falls National Heritage Area is one of 62 National Heritage Areas in the United States. Designated by the United States Congress in 2008, its mission is to preserve, protect and promote the historic, natural and cultural resources of the area stretching from Niagara Falls to Old Fort Niagara in Youngstown, New York.
