The Discover Niagara Shuttle will once again provide riders with a free shuttle service from the Falls to the Fort, servicing 15 stops including some new ones. For 2017, the shuttle will make stops at Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls Train Station / Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Interpretive Center, 3rd and Old Falls Street and the 3rd Street Entertainment District.
The Discover Niagara Shuttle starts up with weekend service beginning May 12 and daily service beginning May 19, bringing passengers to 15 amazing destinations free of charge! The shuttle runs 9:00am - 6:00pm Sunday-Thursday and 9:00am - 12:00am Friday and Saturday.
In 2012 Nik Wallenda became the first person to cross the Niagara Falls by tightrope in 116 years. He did so after receiving permission from both the Canadian and United States governments, although he was required to carry his passport and present it on entry to the Canadian side of the falls.
